We are delighted that Ava West, has joined forces with Nordoff Robbins as she launches her debut exhibition.
The exhibition, entitled Life Through Art, is a visceral exploration of West’s life experiences as she combines media with emotion to convey themes such as imperfection, judgment, instability, confusion, uniqueness, creativity and peace.
It's running at Gallery Different from 22 – 25 November. All proceeds will be donated to Nordoff Robbins' work.
Jo Carter, Director of Marketing for Nordoff Robbins, commented:
“We are delighted and so grateful that Ava West will be supporting Nordoff Robbins through her debut exhibition. As a charity, we depend on the generosity of people like Ava, and every penny raised will go towards supporting the life-changing work we do.”
Ava West commented:
“The research and work that Nordoff Robbins has conducted has helped thousands of young people, with a variety of different needs to express, create, and communicate and this is a cause close to my heart. Art is subjective, which makes it an incredibly powerful tool for people who may be struggling in life.
I believe it doesn't matter how loud you need to scream or how quietly you want to whisper, art accepts you without judgment, time and time again. No matter how daunted and confused you feel making that first mark on a blank canvas, by the end it all seems to make sense.”
